Together, we\u2019ll pack our gear and carefully stow all our essentials in our canoes right on the shore of Lake Nurmij\u00e4rvi near Er\u00e4keskus. <\/p><p>After a few kilometers, we reach a secluded wild beach with a <strong>rustic barbecue area<\/strong> \u2014here we take a well-deserved break and prepare a fresh lunch together.<br data-start=\"893\" data-end=\"896\"\/>Refreshed, we continue our journey, passing the impressive river delta where <strong>the Jongunjoki<\/strong> and <strong>Mukajoki<\/strong> converge and flow into the <strong>Lieksanjoki<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1048\" data-end=\"1051\"\/>After a total of about 12 kilometers, we reach our campsite on the banks of<strong> the Mukajoki River.<\/strong> Here we pitch our <strong>tents<\/strong> while the last rays of the sun make the water\u2019s surface glisten.<\/p><p>Anyone who\u2019d like to can try their hand at <strong>fishing<\/strong> and maybe catch something for dinner. Together, we\u2019ll prepare the meal over an open fire and enjoy the warmth and <strong>the crackling of the flames<\/strong> as nature slowly settles into silence. There, we\u2019ll encounter the small <strong>Kohosenkoski rapids<\/strong>, which even beginners can easily navigate. Just before the rapids, we\u2019ll take a lunch break\u2014and anyone who wants to can take a <strong>refreshing dip<\/strong> in the river.  <\/p><p data-start=\"657\" data-end=\"884\">We then glide across <strong>Lake Pankaj\u00e4rvi<\/strong> until our driver picks us up with the trailer on the western shore. The dogs are full of excitement and will pull you along in their harnesses on a route that winds past idyllic forest streams and small lakes. At the picnic area by <strong>Jynkk\u00e4lampi<\/strong>, the dogs can take a refreshing dip while you enjoy lunch over an open fire. The trail continues through pine forests to another <strong>laavu<\/strong>\u2014a small wind shelter\u2014where you can take a short break. The final leg takes you to the <strong>moraine hills<\/strong> and the <strong>Suuri-Pilonen laavu<\/strong>, where you\u2019ll wrap up the day with marshmallows over the campfire.
