Kennel Visit & Husky Experience
Our huskies are at the heart of Eräkeskus. Even outside the sled dog season, you have the chance to meet our dogs and get a glimpse behind the scenes of a husky farm.
During our kennel visits, you’ll learn more about our dogs’ lives, their training, their daily routines and the work behind a family-run husky farm in the middle of Finnish nature.
You can choose from:
- Kennel Visit (approx. 1 hour)
- Extended Kennel Experience (approx 3–4 hours)
Kennel Visit - Meet our dogs
Meet our dogs and enjoy a fascinating glimpse into the lives of our four-legged athletes.
What to expect:
- Guided visit to both of our kennel areas
- Meet our huskies
- Interesting insights into sled dogs and the world of dog sledding.
- Insights into the care, training and daily life of our dogs.
- Time for questions and photos.
- Visit our puppies, if we currently have puppies and they are old enough to meet visitors.






Tour details
- Duration: approx. 1 hour
- Language: German, English or Finnish.
- Meeting point: Eräkeskus, at the lodge.
- Suitable for: adults, families and children.
- Group size: small groups for a personal experience (2–5 people).
- Available: year-round, subject to availability.
- Advance booking required.
Prices
- Price: € 20 per person.
- Discounted price for campsite guests: €15 per person.
- Free for overnight guests and dog sponsors.
Important information
- Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes are recommended.
- Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
- Own dogs are not allowed inside the kennel areas.
- The kennels may only be visited together with a member of our team.
- The well-being of our dogs always comes first. For this reason, the visit may be adjusted if needed.
- Puppy visits are only possible if we currently have puppies and they are old enough to meet visitors.
Cancellation terms for day tours
- Cancellations must be made in writing (by e-mail to office@eraekeskus.com). In the case of declarations received on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the next working day shall be decisive.
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the tour is free of charge.
- If you cancel 7 days or less before the date of the event, we will charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking price.

Extended Kennel Experience - A day with Huskies
Spend several hours with our huskies and enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at our Sled Dog Center. This experience is for everyone who would like to get to know our dogs more closely and learn more about life on a husky farm.
What to expect:
- Everything included in the Kennel Visit.
- Taking part in a feeding session.
- Accompanying our playgroups.
- Visit to our dog beach or dog pool area (seasonal).
- Grooming and cuddle time with the dogs.
- Visit our puppies, if we currently have puppies and they are old enough to meet visitors.
- Coffee or tea and a small snack.

As we plan each tour individually and adapt it to the current conditions, we ask you to send us a request. This way we can guarantee you the best possible experience! We will check your request immediately and get back to you as soon as possible (usually within 24 hours) with all the details!Advance reservations for day activities – ideally a few days in advance – are essential. Unfortunately, we cannot always fulfill spontaneous requests directly on site.
