Indian Summer, Musher Workshop & Early Winter

The days gradually grow shorter and cooler as nature prepares for winter. After the first hints of orange appeared in the treetops in early September, the forests now reach their peak in rich shades of red and gold. Temperatures continue to fall, the first frosty nights bring the leaves down, and still waters slowly begin to freeze. Migratory birds gather for their journey south, and before long, the first light covering of snow will settle over the landscape.

Autumn is in the air – and so is the excitement of a new training season. Our eager four-legged athletes can already sense that it will soon be time to get back to work.

Our fall programs are perfectly tailored to our dogs’ training. You can set the intensity yourself—you decide how long you want to participate each day.

Our Offers:

MAXI Mushing Workshop

8 days/7 nights

You’ll learn all about training and handling our dogs, sled repairs, splicing and much more. You’ll drive your own dog teams and gain an in-depth understanding of everything involved in working with sled dogs.
To balance the practical days, the programme also includes a hike and an overnight stay at our Aittokoski forest cabin, complete with sauna. One day is yours to spend as you wish – go mushroom picking, take some time to relax or, if you still haven’t had enough, enjoy even more time with our dogs.

MEDI Mushing Workshop

6 days/5 nights

This programme also gives you plenty of insight into our dogs and how to work with them, although in slightly less detail than our MAXI programme. For example, sled repairs are not included, but you will still learn how to splice lines.
A hike to our Aittokoski forest cabin, including time in the sauna, is also part of the experience. As a special finale, you can even drive your own dog team if you wish.

MINI Mushing Workshop

3 days/2 nights

Are you passing through the area and curious to learn more about sled dog training? Then come and join us! During your kennel visit, you’ll gain an insight into how we train our dogs and, of course, have the opportunity to take part in training runs.
A special highlight awaits on the third day: you can enjoy a later check-out, drive your own dog team and have lunch with us before continuing your journey.

Day Trip

Would you like to help out with a sled dog training session while enjoying the Finnish outdoors? Then our half-day tour is just right for you. Overnight guests can join this tour at a reduced rate.
