When it comes to flexible paddling adventures, you’re in expert hands. Eräkeskus is ideally located directly on Lake Nurmijärvi, where the Jongunjoki and Lieksanjoki rivers meet. These waterways are fed by several smaller rivers and streams, including the Hähnijoki, Laklajoki, Valamajoki and Mukajoki.

We know this unique landscape of lakes and rivers. That allows us to offer you an extremely flexible paddling experience.

We can combine countless canoe and kayak routes and tailor the distances to your preferences—from leisurely paddling on lakes to gentle rivers with little current, all the way to more adventurous stretches on wilderness rivers with rapids —anything is possible. We’re here to cater to you! Your wishes are our top priority.

Our day trips are ideal for anyone who wants to get out on the water on a whim or simply spend a day enjoying nature from a canoe or kayak. Discover picturesque stretches of Lake Nurmijärvi, glide gently along the calmer river branches, or explore wilder rivers. We’ll tailor the route and duration to your preferences so you can make the most of your day on the water.
