With a one-time donation of €150, you can become this dog’s sponsor for a year. Your support helps us here at Eräkeskus give our beloved sled dogs a happy and healthy life—in the heart of Northern Karelia’s beautiful natural surroundings.

What you get as a sponsor:

A personalized sponsorship certificate.
A detailed update via email in the spring/early summer, including a recent photo of your sponsored dog.
You’ll find out how far he ran over the winter, how he’s been doing, and how he’s spending his time after the intense season.
Another update via email this fall with a recent photo of your sponsored dog.
This way, you can follow along as he starts training and see the progress he’s making as the new season approaches.
Exclusive experiences during future visits to Eräkeskus: On future visits, you’ll have the opportunity to have your sponsored dog pull your sled or go for a walk with him—a truly special moment!

The best possible care for your sponsored dog: Your sponsorship helps us provide each dog with individualized care—exactly as they need it.
This includes regular veterinary care, as well as additional support where it’s needed. Whether it’s physical therapy, tailored training, or high-quality food for our senior dogs—

A Special Sponsorship: Support Our Senior Dogs!

Not all of our sled dogs are still active athletes. Many of them have worked hard for years, pulling guests through countless winters and making unique experiences possible. Now they’re enjoying their well-deserved retirement here with us at Eräkeskus. These “oldies but goldies” often require special care, supplemental food, and intensive veterinary care to make their golden years as comfortable as possible.

With a general sponsorship for our senior dogs, you can support this special group. For an annual contribution of €100, you’ll be directly helping to ensure that our senior dogs are well cared for even in their old age and can enjoy their golden years to the fullest.

A special sponsorship certificate for our senior dogs.
Regular updates and photos of the entire group of retirees (twice a year) that give you a glimpse into their relaxed daily lives.

The idea behind our sponsorship program

Many guests who join us on week-long tours or spend time in the enclosures during the summer months get to know our dogs well and want to keep up with the lives and daily routines of the four-legged friends they’ve grown to love. It’s fascinating to see how these unique personalities thrive in our pack here in the Finnish wilderness.

Of course, we regularly post updates on our Facebook page and update the news section on our website. However, these are always general in nature, so you rarely get specific information about an individual dog.

That’s why we have the Eräkeskus Dog Sponsorship Program. A sponsorship gives you the opportunity not only to learn more about your favorite dog, but also to support him or her financially. You help us create the best possible conditions for our huskies while staying closely connected to your sponsored dog and life on our farm here in Nurmijärvi.

Extend the sponsorship?

At the end of the sponsorship year, we’ll send you a reminder so you can decide whether you’d like to renew your sponsorship of your sponsored dog. There is no automatic renewal. This way, you can keep your special connection going year after year—with complete flexibility and exactly as you wish!
