Our Services for Your Adventure
- Equipment Rental: Rent the equipment you need directly from us.
- Transfer Service: We organize transfers to starting and ending points or pick up canoes and bikes at an agreed-upon meeting point to allow you to combine different modes of transportation.
- Planning Guide: Take advantage of our local knowledge when planning your tour.
Important Note: Basic knowledge of map reading or using a GPS, as well as experience building fires, is essential when out in nature. And always remember: “What you bring into nature, you must also take out again.”
Equipment for on the go
Want to explore the nature of North Karelia on your own by hiking or paddling, but can’t bring the necessary gear with you to Finland? No problem! You can easily rent the equipment you need from us.
On the water:
- Two-person Canadian canoe (Mad River Journey 156 model):
- Includes: 2 paddles, 1 spare paddle, 2 pack barrels, 3 waterproof pack bags, life jackets, and a bailer.
- Single kayak:
- Various types of rivers and lakes with large storage capacities.
- Includes: paddle, 4 waterproof stuff sacks, life jacket, spray skirt.
Prices for canoes/kayaks:
- 1 day’s rental (9 a.m.–8 p.m.): €45.
- 2 rental days (24 hours each): €90 flat rate.
- 3–5 rental days (24 hours each): €200 flat rate.
- 6–7 rental days (24 hours each): €280 flat rate.
- Longer rental periods are available upon request.
Cooking & Sleeping 1
- Simple 2-person tent, stove (gas or methyl alcohol)
Prices for Cooking & Sleeping 1:
- 2 rental days (24 hours each): €45 flat rate
- 3–5 rental days (24 hours each): €75 flat rate
- 6–7 rental days (24 hours each): €90 flat rate
- Longer rental periods are available upon request.
Cooking & Sleeping 2
- Sleeping mat, sleeping bag, eating utensils
Prices for Cooking & Sleeping 2:
- Per day (24 hours): €15
Mountain Bikes
- 21- or 24-speed mountain bike with front suspension
Mountain Bike Prices:
- per day (24 hours): € 25 Includes a basic repair kit and a pump.
Your Transfer Service:
- By car and trailer: €1 per kilometer driven.
- Without a trailer: €0.75 per kilometer driven.
Security deposit:
- Canoe or kayak: €250 deposit (to be paid in cash before departure).
- Mountain bike: €100 deposit (to be paid in cash before the start).
Your deposit will be refunded once you have returned all the equipment in good condition and without damage.
