Sled Dog Training Run
Experience the thrill of dog sledding!
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of our sled dogs and become part of a unique adventure! Experience the power, speed, and teamwork of our dogs up close as they prepare for the winter season.
Reservations required! Our dogs follow a set training schedule—so please book at least 4 days in advance.
What to expect:
- A Warm Welcome – Meet our dogs and get a first look at one of our two kennels.
- An introduction to treating our sled dogs and training equipment with respect.
- Opportunity to help out —If you’d like, you can help us harness the dogs (please bring sturdy work gloves!).
- Pure adrenaline! Enjoy an exciting ride with our huskies through the beautiful countryside. Depending on the weather, we’ll use an ATV, a training cart, or a sled.
- Photo Break – Capture these special moments with our sled dogs.
- A treat for our four-legged friends —After the tour, you can spoil the dogs with snacks and some petting.
- A cozy way to wind down and enjoy some refreshments at our lodge:
After your exciting husky adventure, we warmly invite you to our cozy lodge, located right on-site. Here, you can warm up in peace with a free cup of coffee or tea and let all the fresh impressions from your experience sink in.

After your tour, make yourself comfortable by a crackling fire! Grilled sausages (vegan options available upon request) are the perfect way to end your experience.




Tour details
- Duration: About 3–4 hours (including orientation, lunch, and time with the dogs).
- Travel time only: About 1–1.5 hours (depending on conditions and the group).
- Location: Eräkeskus , at the lodge.
- Guide: German, English, and Finnish-speaking guide
- Group size: Small, intimate groups for an immersive experience, max. 5 participants.
- Dates: October 1, 2026 – December 1, 2026.
- Reservations: By request only.
Prices
- Your own vehicle: €145 per person.
- 1 passenger in the guide’s vehicle: €100.
- Discount for Overnight Guests: Book the tour at the special price of €110
Optional:
- Lunch (cooked over an open fire) in the Grillkota, per person: €10.
- Important note for our guests on a full-board plan: Lunch at our lodge is included as part of your full-board plan for that day. This means you only pay the price for the husky tour activity.

What to bring & requirements
Physical Fitness: A basic level of fitness is sufficient. Please let us know about any health limitations when you submit your request.
Minimum Age: The minimum age for driving a training team on your own is 18. Younger children can ride safely in the guide’s vehicle or that of an adult.
Here’s what you should pack:
- Warm, weatherproof clothing.
- Wind- and water-repellent outer layer.
- A warm hat that covers the ears well.
- Lightweight fleece fingerless gloves: It’s best to have two pairs,
so you can change them if needed. - Sturdy, weather-resistant shoes.
- You might want to bring a small daypack for your personal items
- And, of course: a spirit of adventure and a positive attitude!
Cancellation terms for day tours
- Cancellations must be made in writing (by e-mail to office@eraekeskus.com). In the case of declarations received on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the next working day shall be decisive.
- Cancellation up to 7 days before the start of the tour is free of charge.
- If you cancel 7 days or less before the date of the event, we will charge a cancellation fee of 100% of the booking price.
